Learn about global co-op networks with the International Council of the USFWC

The International Council of the USFWC presents a webinar for folks to learn about the global co-op networks that the USFWC is a part of. About the presenters:

Since 2018, Diana Dovgan has been the Secretary General of both CICOPA, the International Organization of Cooperatives in Industry and Services, and CECOP, the European Confederation of Cooperatives in Industry and Services. Previously she was the Policy Officer for 10 years for both organizations. She is a member of GECES, the European Commission’s expert group on the social economy). From 2004 to 2008, she was a Policy Advisor for the Belgian minister in charge of Social Inclusion and Equal Opportunities.

Camila Piñeiro Harnecker is the Practice Area Director for Strengthening Cooperatives and Producer Organizations at NCBA CLUSA. She has over 25 years of cooperative development experience, with an emphasis on worker cooperatives and social and solidarity economy institutions. Her research, consultancy, teaching, and training has focused on the cooperative sector and public policy, cooperatives’ governance and management, and support ecosystems. Before joining NCBA CLUSA in 2019, she worked as a researcher at American University, the University of California at Riverside, and the Center for the Study of the Cuban Economy.

Jason Nardi is the president of RIES (Italian Solidarity Economy Network) and co-founder of Solidarius Italia (solidarius.it), the Italian branch of an international network that promotes all aspects of the solidarity economy ecosystem. For five years, he was the coordinator of the international council of RIPESS, the Intercontinental Network for the Promotion of the Social Solidarity Economy, and is currently a general delegate of RIPESS EU. RIPESS brings together grassroots initiatives, cooperative and social enterprises, academic and institutional members from around the world. RIPESS is recognized by the UN’s Economic and Social Council and is an observer member of the United Nations Interagency Task Force on Social and Solidarity Economy (UNSSE.org).
