We are a full service worker-owned cooperative bicycle shop located in the Mission District of San Francisco.
Our mission statement reads as follows: “Box Dog Bikes strives to support people who ride everyday by providing friendly personal service and good value on quality bicycles and parts. We are looking to hire a skilled salesperson and mechanic who is interested in working part time with the possibility of full time.
Start date April 1st 2018.
Responsibilities will include
Selling Bicycles
Assessment and completion of repairs
Assisting customers in custom builds (from the frame up)
Completing computer/paperwork
Performing daily cleaning tasks
Customer service
Follow procedures on opening and closing store
Register transactions
Necessary skills/experience
Personable demeanor
Familiarity with computers, email, and Point of Sales systems
Knowledge of bicycles, parts compatibility, vendors etc.
Excellent communication skills
Desired skills/experience
3+ years working in a professional bicycle shop
Working collaboratively with a group to accomplish a task
Engaging in group accountability
Bilingual (or more!)
Full fender/rack/dyno light installation experience
Familiarity with randonneur, bikepacking, touring, and bicycle camping equipment

We offer healthcare fully paid after 3 months for full time employees
Paid sick time as per SF law and paid vacation after a year
Compensation is D.O.E. and competitive
