Philadelphia Worker Cooperative Teach-In

Event Details

The Philadelphia Area Cooperative Alliance and the U.S. Federation of Worker Cooperatives are pleased to host the Worker Cooperative Teach-In on May 20th. We hope that you will join us for a limited attendance event along with other engaged, spirited people at this conversation-driven event designed to cultivate economic justice in the Philadelphia area through cooperative worker ownership. You'll meet community organizers, cooperators, economic developers, civic leaders and more — all of them building economic control block by block as they support cooperative culture in the Greater Philadelphia area.

In this interactive event, you will:

  • learn about the state of worker cooperatives and democratic workplaces here and across the country,

  • envision PACA’s role in the future of this sector

  • help to map the field of cooperators, service providers, and communities of practice that are (and hope to be!) engaged in this work

  • build tangible skills to run a cooperative business

  • Learn how to strengthen democratic ownership culture

Learn, connect, network, and share your ideas at this cross-class, multi-racial gathering.
