United We Grow: Let’s raise $15,000 for a resilient cooperative movement!

Colorful graphic with a scenic mountain landscape and a sparkling, winding river. Large white text reads 'United We Grow' diagonally across the landscape, with a rainbow in the sky behind it. A black text box on the right reads, 'Together let’s raise $15,000 by 12/31for a powerful solidarity economy in the United States!' A badge at the bottom of the river shows the United States Federation of Worker Cooperatives logo, and the URL 'usworker.coop/give' appears in bold at the bottom.

You can be part of building a resilient co-op movement– one that lifts up local communities whether in moments of celebration or crisis. To bring our vision to life, we’ve set a goal of raising $15,000 by December 31st. Can you support the U.S. Federation of Worker Cooperatives (USFWC) with a one-time or a monthly donation today?

These past few weeks have been a testament to the power of cooperation.

In Chicago, over 600 people gathered for our biggest Worker Co-op Conference to date. Those connections modeled a thriving cooperative future—one that honors people and the planet.

Just weeks later, Hurricane Helene hit Western North Carolina. Centering co-op values and community relationships, our members lead local relief efforts, demonstrating what solidarity looks like in action.

USFWC staff connected with members on the ground and amplified their calls for support:

  • Firestorm Books transformed into a hub for resources and information, serving as a temporary distribution center.
  • PODER Emma restored power and water to trailer parks in the hardest-hit areas.
  • Cenzontle Language Justice Cooperative volunteered hundreds of hours to ensure language access in the recovery process.
  • Our members across the region shared resources and raised funds for long-term relief efforts. To everyone who answered our call for solidarity and mutual aid—thank you.

These are just a few of the powerful examples of what a strong co-op movement makes possible. Reflecting on the experience, Firestorm Books noted, “It’s a strange paradox that the utopia we dream of becomes most visible in the dark.” Every worker co-op is a light on the path from extraction toward a future where we all thrive.

The USFWC is at the center of this resilient, connected movement. As it grows, we strengthen communities across the U.S. by propelling co-op businesses and their local impact. Our programs include leadership development, essential training, technical assistance, health and retirement employee benefits, advocacy and networking. Through our programs, co-op leaders build connections and grow expertise that prepare them for the challenges and successes ahead.

Help us raise $15,000 by December 31st – contribute here.

Your support for the USFWC means being part of a movement for the long haul. Help us create a world beyond exploitation by making a one-time or monthly donation today. Most people who sign up give $15 a month, but any amount—whether it’s $5, $50, or $500—brings us closer to our $15,000 goal. Thank you!

In cooperation,

Esteban Kelly
