Over the last several years, worker-owned business has gained popularity as a solution for building skills and wealth, and has attracted support from both sides of the aisle.
Our Policy and Advocacy Council has ramped up its organizing to meet the moment, and the USFWC is currently working on exciting new legislation with Congressman Ro Khanna (CA) to scale up worker co-op education, outreach, lending, and incentives in order to meet the need for our small businesses that are struggling to survive this crisis. This legislation is rooted in the experience of our members, and provides a multi-pronged approach to provide what we need to grow this movement.
In this moment, we have the opportunity to introduce legislation that will create new worker -owned and -governed businesses, save jobs, and redistribute wealth to our communities. We can’t miss this chance to build a better, worker-centered economy.
If you are able, donate to help us support worker co-ops as they face COVID-19 and beyond
Your donations will be doubled up to $25,000 now through International Cooperative’s Day, 7/4
