On Saturday, October 8, 2022, CHCA hosted a Bronx Fair Pay for Home Care Luncheon. The event was in appreciation for those involved in advocating for higher wages for Home Care Workers, to communicate that we will continue to work towards increasing the wages in the upcoming year, and to build the base of NY Caring Majority members .
CHCA invited close to 70 people, and a total of 45 attended the event, including a combination of Home Care Workers, office staff, NY Caring Majority members, SEIU 1199 partners, and clients that attended the luncheon. Senator Gustavo Rivera and Assemblymember Kenny Burgos attended and shared about why the Fair Pay campaign is important.
