Advocacy alert: Federal funding uncertainty

We know that the recent federal orders have caused uncertainty and concern, and we are working hard to understand the implications for workers and cooperatives.
On January 27, there was an order issued by the White house Budget Office to pause all federal loans and grants. This of course affects millions of people and will have a direct effect on our members and ecosystem.
We are working with our partners at NCBA CLUSA and others on this. We do know that the details of the order are currently in development, including what is covered under this order, so much is not clear. As of today, January 29th, while the original memo was rescinded, it remains unclear what funds may be frozen.
We will keep members posted via email and on our website. Below are two meetings to attend to keep up with the latest developments, specifically geared for the co-op community.

Government Relations Co-op Circle Town Hall
NCBA is hosting a Co-op Circle town hall on Thursday, Jan 30th. Register here.

On Feb 6, the USFWC will be hosting our monthly Policy and Advocacy Council call at 1pm ET / 12pm CT / 11am MT / 10am PT. Email policy@usworker.coop for more information about this call.
