Thank you to everyone who attended #WWCC19Olympia!
We were thrilled to host nearly 60 attendees at the first Western Worker Cooperative Convening in Olympia. More info to come; in the meantime, here’s a few photos from our day together:
We started off the day with intensive sessions on anti-oppressive facilitation, democratic management, and financial literacy.
Over lunch, we heard lightning talks from local worker co-ops Metis Construction, New Moon Cooperative Cafe, Story 2, CoSound, and NWCDC.
Then we dug into skill-building sessions on budgets, co-op recruitment, marketing and more.
We closed out the day with a community happy hour to celebrate a successful day of co-learning and organizing.
And while we were there, we stopped in to New Moon and Olympia Food Co-op — it’s always great to see members in action!
