Dear USFWC Community,
Thank you so much for your support to the USFWC this year. Here’s what we accomplished in 2023 with your support:
Growing Our Membership: Surpassed 370 members with 70 new members joining this year.
Worker Benefits: Provided dental and vision benefits to over 700 individuals across 66 member organizations. That makes 1500 people served since 2017.
Technical Assistance: Provided TA to 210 members through our Co-op Clinic and its network of Peer Advisors.
Co-op Clinic Virtual Summit: Over 200 people attended or received resources from the Spring Summit, receiving in-depth training on managing conflict, worker co-op finances and worker benefits.
Worker Ownership State Advocacy Fellowship: Concluded the 2nd cohort of the WOSA fellowship, supporting 14 worker owners to engage deeply in advocacy efforts that span 10 states.
Building Connections Across Members: Brought together over 1,600 people at online events and networking opportunities to share stories and best practices for building workplace democracy.
Engaging Member Leadership: This year’s USFWC Board Elections had a record number of candidates and historic voter turnout. We also had two Member Councils begin holding meetings again: The Racial & Economic Justice Council (REJC) and Movimientos de Inmigrantes Cooperativistas (MIC) Council.
We couldn’t have achieved so much without the incredible support of our community, including members, donors and partners. Thank you for helping us support our hard working members who are building the next economy from the ground up.
In cooperation,
Esteban Kelly
Executive Director
